What style is your photography?
My style is a blend of documentary and editorial. I focus on capturing moments as they naturally unfold—those genuine emotions, laughter, and in-between glances that tell your story authentically. With the editorial side, I offer gentle guidance and direction when needed, ensuring your portraits feel natural, flattering, and effortlessly beautiful. The result is a collection of images that are both authentic and timelessly elegant.
What sets me apart from other photographers?
Great question. Honestly, I think there are many wonderful photographers out there.
Their work is beautiful and it shines in its own way. While part of it comes down to personal taste and aesthetic, I believe the one thing I create is connection. I truly believe a photographers personality, the ability to relate, to communicate and break the ice are important aspects for building rapport with couples. If you feel comfortable to be yourselves with me, naturally, you will begin to feel comfortable in front of the camera. I believe that is how I capture candid raw and real moments through my photojournalistic photography approach.
How long does it take to get our photos delivered?
You will receive an online gallery link with all your photos 2-8 weeks post session depending on your package. You will be able to download all the photos from the gallery, share them, and choose your favorites.
Who chooses the location?
Client chooses the location if that is your wish, but I am happy to offer suggestions.
How can I pay?
E-transfer.
Do you offer mini shoots?
Yes. Seasonally I may offer mini shoots that include but not limited to: Pre-selected location of my choosing, the possibility of props included depending on the type of mini shoot. Watch my Instagram page for when mini pop-up shoots happen.
Do you offer discount codes?
Yes. Follow my Instagram page for occasional discount codes on photoshoots.
Is there a travel fee in your photography packages?
No travel fees for local shoots. Anything outside the City of Kelowna may require a travel fee. Please message me details for out of town shoots, weddings/elopements and destination weddings.
How do you determine travel/accommodation fees and are they included in your destination wedding pricing?
Travel is not included in the pricing for my collections. As each wedding is unique, I love to learn about your destination and celebration before we discuss travel plans. I then customize a quote based on the location, number of travel days required and other travel expenses. The travel quote is added to your wedding package. I handle all of my own travel arrangements unless otherwise specified.
Do you work with a second shooter?
I shoot all my packages on my own, however there is an option to include a highly experienced second shooter for an additional fee pending their availability. For destination weddings, my husband is also my business partner and fellow adventurer, and assists me where and when needed for out of town/destination weddings and elopements.
For out of town weddings, when will you arrive to our wedding location?
I always plan to arrive on location at least the morning prior to the wedding I'm shooting, and often several days prior for international events. This time frame allows for any travel delays, and gives me time to get acclimated to the area, including scouting the wedding and shooting locations. During scouting, I often begin taking location and “scene” shots, which help narrate the complete story of your wedding.
Should I make a "shot list" of my desired photos?
If you have some "must have" shots you are hoping for please feel free to share those with me. For majority of my Portrait shoots I create a custom "mood board" (shot list) tailored to your photoshoot.
However, for weddings we will go over a detailed questionnaire and photo list leading up to your wedding. I do recommend bringing to my attention any special people, planned moments, or unique details you’d like to capture that I might not know to anticipate. On your wedding day, please have the rings, dress, shoes, jewelry and any other heirlooms you’d like in the photos in the bridal suite. I will spend the first 30+ minutes of our coverage shooting your details and final hair/makeup/getting ready.
Does the online gallery include all of the images you take or do you provide a limited number of images?
The final images I select to post in the clients online gallery are a selection based on content and composition. I include only the highest quality images from each setup angle. Omitted images may include blinking, poor or unflattering expressions.
Do these images include retouching, color adjustment or other corrective services?
All the final set of images receive slight color corrections and exposure adjustments before I present them in the online gallery. These images may also receive basic retouching, which could includes blemish removal, small under-eye touch-up, distracting hair removal and/or slight cropping. My preference is for all images to look natural and unretouched. Any adjustments I make are minimal, leaving your photographs looking clean, beautiful and representative of your celebration or photoshoot.
